Btw., nice generator, HP 3325A?

Thank you for the advice. I only soldered it. Next time I have it apart I will add some wire.  The next problem I need to work on is weak FM  reception. I won't get to that this week, I have other things I need to do.

The function generator is a HP 3325A, the scope is an old HP 175A, full of tubes. When on it heats the room nicely.

Stephan

I am preparing to troubleshoot and align the FM circuits. It looks like I need to get some more equipment.
For the stereo decoder alignment it looks like I need a 100 MHz signal generator that can be modulated at 19 kHz.
For that I am looking at the HP 8640B. (http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/hp/8640b/ ) I think that will do the job.  My oscilloscope is only good too 50 MHz.  Do I need to get a 100 MHz oscilloscope? Or can I use a demodulator probe with my 50 MHz oscilloscope?  I have a 20 MHz HP 3325A function generator, that sweeps. This should be good for the 10.7 MHz IF signal.
Any advice on equipment selection would be appreciated, this will be my first time aligning a receiver.
Thank you

Danke
Gruß,
Stephan
